4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average1 week into my son starting prek and the principal Mr. Fredricks called me to tell me that my son needs to learn to behave. I explained to him that I'm having a hard time with him as well and I'm trying to get help from his Dr to have him evaluated. But most places won't until he is closer to 5. I asked if there is a way he could be in a smaller class or get some kind of help or anything that could be done to help him or give me a direction to go to get help for him and his exact response was the state of New York is not required be law to have him in prek. So I asked what would happen when he was obligated to go for kindergarten and he completely disregarded that question. Mind u I had 3 other children in the school systems and they don't have these problems. It took 3 weeks at a new school and they are evaluating him for speech, ot, behavioral problems and his doctor is trying to get him tested as well.
