"There are many kids, young and old families and even generations in some spots. A lot of people who come to Waterford never leave. The school is good and the entire town is very safe."

"Area is nice and is only a 5-10 minute drive anywhere in Clifton park. Less than that for the northway. Traffic on route 9 is bad but is manageable."
  • Tina L.
"Close to rivers and the Cohoes Falls. Close to Parks and major highways. Nice school district. Quiet neighborhood. "

  • Barbara W.
"I grew up in Waterford and lived there while my children grew up. It was a wonderful little town with a close knit group. I enjoyed it very much and always felt safe for myself and my children."
  • Monastc795
    "I live here and it's a wonderful place to raise a family! : )"
  • lightft
"Back yards are great if you can stand the racket from the frogs and the fogging needed for mosquitos. Expect regular visits from skunks, muskrats, deer, 50 pound turtles and perhaps foxes. DON'T go on Fonda Road except in a car - no sidewalks, and with a 45mph speed limit and 30 on the curve, the police clocked a half dozen cars doing over 60 on the curve on one afternoon. Assume snowplows will trash your mailbox at least twice a season and a car will spin out into your or a neighbor's yard at least once a year. If you are a light sleeper, you might find the 40 pound turkey vultures landing on your roof a bit annoying - it sounds like a slamming door somewhere in your house. The neighbors are nice, but you see little of them since you really cannot walk along the street. "
  • jchow
