7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSocastee high school may seem bad from the outside but on the inside it’s filled with loving councilors and loving principals. Kids will be kids and if there’s a problem a kid should addressing it, so don’t base the school on other kids behavior. Socastee provides lots of opportunities for my student and have teachers that live and support him. Socastee is one of the public high schools my child had been to.Parent Review1y ago9 Reviews - Socastee Middle

"Small, good police presence, no high rises like in Myrtle Beach or Garden City Beach. Most people keep their yards nice, lots of golf carts. "

"Sidewalks are good for dog walking, everyone picks up after their dogs. It seems like almost everyone has dogs. It’s not uncommon to see dogs riding with their owners in golf carts. There is a nice dog park as well. "

"We have lots of different festivals all throughout the year, lots of golf cart parades, community beach sweeps, music in the park every Sunday during the summer, a hula show on the beach every Monday during the summer, and many other things. Too many to list. "

"Beach baby! Who could ask for more. Everyone is neighborly. Well kept beaches with no drinking and no smoking. Close to everything but far enough away to keep most tourist from. Just a chill little town. "

"They seem to call the lot of a demolished house a dog park if that tells you the size ... it's not very dog friendly. they try to license dogs but nobody cares. most of the people are rude and or transplants from out of state.. the dog park is more mud pit when it rains and without bug spray in the summer good luck. "
