6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI grew up in this district, it wasn't great 10 years ago and from my daughters experience, it's only gotten worse. My daughter has received death threats, which are illegal themselves. The kid also threatened a school shooting at the same time. Schools suspended the kid and had the resource officer investigate. The police said that since the weapons in the kids home weren't easily accessed, it wasn't a credible threat. So a kid threatens another child's life, threatens to shoot the school up so he could get her friends too and there are weapons in the house but the school brushed it off with a weeks suspension and put him right back in classes with the kids he had threatened like it was nothing. Now she lives in fear constantly but thee school no longer cares. Kids are smart, if he wanted to he could figure out codes and get keys. I knew the code to my dad's gun safe at that age because he was supposed to start taking me hunting with him. Just because it's harder to get to the guns doesn't mean its impossible. Now we wait everyday as this child and his friends constantly bully my kid and her friends praying he doesn't decide to take it further.Parent Review1y ago2 Reviews - Canon City High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTruly awful school, they silence their google reviews in an attempt to silence any criticism. Many of my peers including me have had to unfortunately resort to transferring schools our final year to get out of the grueling, unrealistic expectations they have set for their final project. Not all, but some teachers and staff clearly have favorites and make no attempt to hide it. Although this school is very bad now, I do have hope that it will improve because the old principal is finally gone and is being replaced by someone much better that makes an effort to connect with his students.Other Review4w ago7 Reviews - Lincoln School of Science and Technology

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI used to be a student there in 2023 and they were the worst. the teachers were mean and unfair, favortism was a thing and the bulling was not taken care of and my siblings went there with me and they were extreamly rude to a special needs kid (my brother) and they did things I will not say and I will warn you the school doesn't do sh** about incidents. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS SCHOOL. (ps the principal doesn't care about ur safety only popularity) (and I will not say the grade I was in at the time)Other Review6mo ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near 1-81223 One.

"When owners of dogs walk them, they are often accosted by other dogs aggressively barking and coming directly to the edge of the fence. It is not uncommon to see dogs outside all day, without their human companions around to make sure they don't repeat this behavior consistently. "

"we are a small town. I personally live in an adult park, but houses around do have children, and you see them out playing, riding bikes, etc. I skipped the question about walking alone after dark, because there are deer, and in some areas a rare spotting of other wild animals, and since I am older and walk with a cane, I would not walk alone. But, safety wise, I would feel safe. just worried about my own walking ability."
