5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSince moving to Ferndale in 2019 I have been impressed with the sense of community and support offered to students in the Ferndale School District. While I’ve lived in other school districts with “better” ratings I’ve never seen a community come out in support of the kids the same way Ferndale does. The educators care about their students. Where there is an opportunity is a greater focus on academics. Especially in the elementary levels. I think if the academics were more robust in the elementary schools these kids would be better prepared to excel in high school. Occasionally I’ve needed to nudge the school district in the right direction when they stopped offering things like the PSAT. But overall I believe Ferndale did a good job preparing my kids to succeed at the next level.Parent Review10mo ago8 Reviews - Eagleridge Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI need to say how much I really appreciate all the teachers at Eagleridge. I have had 4 daughters go through this school, and I can not say enough good things about every teacher here. The one teacher, who I owe so much to is Sam Wood.Sam has had all 4 girls and he has been able to recognize how different they were from all their other classmates, and he has pushed them all in the right direction to be better students and better people. I feel that Sam is an inspiration to my family and all the other families that have past through his classroom.I have not had any issue that was not easily solved with any teacher at Eagleridge. The staff are a great support system for this school as well. I have just 2 short years and my children will have all past through the halls of Eagleridge.Thank you too everyone at Eagleridge for all of your time, effort and hard work. Your love of teaching really shows.Parent Review9y ago4 Reviews - Horizon Middle School

"Great area, friendly neighbors, lots and lots of dogs out for walks and playtime. Sometimes Cornwall Ave traffic can get heavy and the ambulance and fire trucks use Sunset to get to the hospital but it’s not overwhelming "

"This is an absolutely beautiful place to live if you love the outdoors. You can go snowboarding at Mt. Baker (weather permitted) to sailing on Bellingham Bay all in one day. If you love to experience the beauty of all four seasons, and not deal with extreme heat or cold, this is the place to live. Just make sure you have a lot of money otherwise you won’t live comfortably. "
