Gretna elementary school is the worst school I have ever seen. I homeschool all 5 of my kids because the school are so bad. The teachers there don’t want to teach and they are very mean to kids. They won’t respect your kids. They do nothing to help them learn. My son was in 4th grade and could t read. I took him out of school and now he can read. If you want your kids to have healthy learning, don’t send them to Gretna elementary school in Gretna va.

"Gretna is a perfect rural town where everyone is friendly and welcoming of new people to town. It is located just north of Danville and near the North Carolina line, so many who work in the larger cities can commute easily and still live in a small town. The high school has been state football champions many times in recent years and the classes are smaller than many high schools offer giving the students easy access to their teachers. The movie theater is a newer addition to the town. It was renovated and reopened a few years ago in the same location that it was in decades ago. It offers up to date movies as well as talent shows, musician showcases and many more things your "big box" theaters do not offer. The town slogan is: "Gretna ain't no big thing, but its growing!""
