2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is one of the worst schools I have ever experienced for my child. He came out a different person in a bad way. They don’t follow through with IEP’s, allow kids to come in with drugs/guns, and completely IGNORE the real problems!! It is so sad because this used to be such a good school and now it is trash! Teachers are useless and are in no rush to do their jobs. They wear sweat pants and sweatshirts to work with crazy colored hair. That’s who is influencing your kids! I had to take mine away from this disaster and now I am left picking up the pieces. This place ought to be shut down!Parent Review5mo ago6 Reviews - Mary Carr Greer Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter game to Greer in 4th grade this year from a small private school, and Greer has been absolutely amazing for her. Her teacher has been so kind and my daughter has been excited to go to school each day (this was not the case at private school). She even says she misses school on the weekends. She has been very interested in everything they have been learning this year. The diversity has been the most amazing part-- her friend group includes kids from all over the world. She has gained a broader perspective of the world and made wonderful friends from very different backgrounds. The ratings on greatschools really don't reflect how wonderful Greer is.Other Review3y ago8 Reviews - Check out schools near Middlesex Dr.

"People walk their dogs here all the time. It’s a nice quiet, friendly neighborhood. No issues after dark. The people in this neighborhood speak and acknowledge you."

"Not too bad. Sometimes the main roads get backed up because of the lights, but it’s not as bad as a big city"

"Overall, just like the closeness of everything. It’s got lots of stores and unique experiences to have at local parks and even has a skate park at one park. The vibe is pretty good most of the time here. "

"This city could do some work. The streets are too narrow. Highway 29 is too chaotic and out of place. Charlottesville is too small to have a 8 lane road"

"Close to U V A, downtown, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello and everything C’ville but surrounded by nature. We have the best of both worlds! I can not believe how many good supermarkets we have in the area. There are so many nature trails for walking and hiking. "

"Nothing unless you want to count the crime!!! The Spark is a terrible place to live! Gone through countless managers with everyone promising to make a change and the only thing that changes is the staff. Nothing gets fixed and the current office manager is rude. There is a serious rodent issue that everybody ignores and continually sends the insect companies to spray just so they can say they are doing something. Can’t wait to leave!!!"
