4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageExcellent school. There are some downsides, but they are minor and do not depend on the school. Cons: Schoolchildren smoke vapes in the toilet and sometimes even in the classroom. The school fights them, but without the possibility of expulsion from school, nothing will work. Pros: Maximum care for children: they gave out a sports uniform, a laptop, a lock for the cabinet, notebooks, pens. Everything is free. The teachers do not scold anyone, if you want to study, they will help and praise. If a student goes to school not to gain knowledge, no one will force him to study. Discipline is maintained at the school, there are security guards in uniform. During the year of study, my daughter has never seen fights or serious conflicts. The children are mostly friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to psychologist Marina, she supports Russian-speaking children in all matters and helps 100 percent. The other teachers and staff also do their job excellently. Thank you all and wish you health and success in your noble work!Parent Review10mo ago8 Reviews - Ps 46 Albert V Maniscalco

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's an elementary school, Prek3-through 5, serving about 165 students. The school community tends to be small enough that students might get more individual attention. There's some mental health/ social worker support, though the number of social workers per student. Strength: relatively small class sizes, potential for more personal attention. I highly recommend P.S.046.Parent Review7mo ago9 Reviews - Is 49 Bertha A Dreyfus

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average..Well, as a former student of 7th-8th grade I didn't exactly have the greatest approach to the students of the school. I am exceedingly shy, and lacked to maintain "healthy" friendships with my peers. Every-so-often I was verbally bullied, (By both students and one teacher) and once threatened. Acts of bullying, however, were never reported BY me. I frequently told my mom how I felt in the school. (Good relationship with my mother.) My mom reported every incident, yet schools never took immediate action (or any action for that matter.) Just because of WHO told them. Other then that, I made a few friends, and had an alright overall experience..Student Review8y ago2 Reviews - Check out schools near Mapleton Ave.

"Parking around here has become a little harder since so many people come to the area to park their own cars and take public transportation. it clears out after 5 p.m., but it's still getting harder. Schools are very nice and close by, and the board walk is an amazing experience every day. Not much take out food around here, but there are lots of deliveries. Chinese food in the area used to be good, but now it's really bad. There are new speed pumps that slow cars down and also speed cameras in school areas. There is always a school guard and someone who stops the traffic for kids. "
