KMHS has endured multiple changes placed on the school by previous administration. In the past 7 years, we have worked to create a more rigorous education for our students developing a more hands on engaging classroom environment. KMS developed an Outdoor Education Program that provided an active outlet for kids who needed to move. That program is still running and is now K - 12. Our kids are great - they are typical teenagers. They have the same issues as every other school. The environment can often be chaotic, but that is only because we are often dancing to meet the social and mental needs of these same students. IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER, TEACHERS AREN'T JUST TEACHERS ANY LONGER. THEY ARE MENTORS, SOCIAL WORKERS, EXTENDED FAMILY, A SHOULDER, AND MORE OFTEN THAN NOT, A SAFETY NET FOR THESE KIDS. We love our kids, we love our school!!! Check out what we are learning every day.

I have had the pleasure of substituting at this school and been involved in many of the meetings made available to the public. The principal takes pride in her school and what the student's academic achievement levels are. She takes extra steps to ensure a proper education for all of her students. The programs that are available are fantastic.
