8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a former student from long ago and now I have a child at BHS. The school has joined at upper echelon on Michigan High Schools. My child plays sports at BHS and learned a ton at the high school. Of course, Huntington Woods and Berkley are both outstanding neighborhoods to raise a family. BHS has been nothing short of amazing as usual. As a student in the late 80s, early 90s, I would have fallen through the cracks at plenty of other districts, but the Berkley High School was the most caring environment. My child getting the same outstanding experience that I did. Couldn’t be more pleased. Not a perfect high school, but they certainly chase excellence. The new varsity girls basketball coach is worth every. Single. Penny. Outstanding hire.Other Review1y ago1 Reviews - Norup International School

"I can’t stand Oak Park and I can’t stand Oakland county I will be glad praying and hoping I can move back to Wayne county back to the area. I grew up in. It hasn’t been pleasant or affordable out here."

"I only lived in this neighborhood for a year while I lived here. It was very peaceful. my neighbors were lovely. I live in a dog friendly neighborhood. I was able to walk my dog and not have any encounters with any neighbors. My daughter is able to go outside and play."

"Park events in the summer like concerts and fairs. Library events and farmers market. Oak Park is definitely a family oriented community. In the summer law enforcement will deliver ice cream and popsicles to the children in the neighborhood"

"I don’t own a dog. I do know the city requires dogs be registered and have records of shots. People walk their dogs daily some people pick up after their dogs others don’t. Most dogs are on a leash. "

"We were pleasantly relived to discover this neighborhood is safe, hospitable, and enduring. Each house has its own personality which is refreshing opposed to the cookie-cutter variety neighborhoods. Happy to see Oak Park added new kid-friendly and dog friendly parks in 2019. A nice walk or short bike ride to downtown Ferndale or even downtown Berkley as well. "
