If you’re not an athlete or don’t come from a well-connected family, you’re often treated like you don’t matter. The boards go untouched for entire class periods, and actual instruction is almost nonexistent. That’s not teaching; it’s babysitting. When parents try to speak up or raise concerns, they’re often belittled or brushed off. Teachers act defensive instead of taking accountability. Even worse, some have been seen laughing in students’ faces when those students try to speak up about problems or unfair treatment. It’s cruel, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. And the bullying? It’s ignored. Teachers see it, hear about it, and do nothing. The result is a school environment where students don’t feel safe, respected, or supported.
