8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have 2 kids in Hemlock Schools. I went to a Saginaw Township school growing up and my spouse went to a Saginaw city school and we are both very pleased with Hemlock. We live in Freeland but are in Hemlock School district. The school size overall is small but the closeness of the students and student families is strong and something we never experienced in the bigger Saginaw schools. My kids are excelling in school and sports. They love their teachers and friends. The relationships/friendships we've built with the other families has been amazing and again nothing we've experienced in the Saginaw city and township schools.Parent Review10y ago5 Reviews - K.C. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are so lucky to be in such a great community. My child has a very serious allergy and the school, teachers and principal have all been wonderful in managing this. The lunch ladies have even sought be out on Facebook to talk directly and make sure they are meeting my child’s needs if he chose to eat hot lunch. Very supportive community with not just special requests but also educational. My child is reading, writing and doing math at an educational level higher than theirs. My husband and I loved growing up in a small community and we are blessed to have found another to raise our family in. I would recommend Hemlock public schools to any of our friends and family.Parent Review4y ago7 Reviews - Hemlock Middle School

"My neighborhood is close to public transportation, the neighbors are great, the town is amazing with tons of community activities. The restaurant are locally owned with amazing food and the big corporate stores are clean with locals that live in the area that know you by name. I was suggest to everyone to move their family up here. Also, the rent is cheaper up here than it is in a big public city. it’s quiet.. One other thing is close to beaches, which is my favorite thing of all time."

"My neighborhood is only blocks from downtown. The theater district, arena, and outdoor event parks are a scant eight blocks away. Along with the farmers market and restaurants these venues are a quick walk from the neighborhood. The Belle Iron Trail meanders along the river and borders the neighborhood. Ojibway Island , zoo and Hoyt Park anchor the southern end of the Cathedral District. "
