9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere are no consequences for bullies. The bully gets extra help while the victim gets called out in front of the class. The principal is unstable has no business working with kids as I heard her call kids with disabilities slow. The placement for advance classes changes so only the administration's kids qualify.Parent Review9mo ago9 Reviews - Lincoln Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school and it was the worst 3 years of my life. I can’t even drive past the school without feeling like throwing up. It has gave me so much trauma. The amount of bullying and the extent of it is crazy. The teachers DO NOTHING. For example one time a kid made a racist comment towards me very loud, shouted it in a quiet classroom. The teacher said nothing. She even had a smirk on her face. It’s like the teachers thought it was funny. The principals never did anything too, they never even tried. I’ve tried reporting it so many times, nothing done, never removed the racists from my class, nothing changed, I doubt they even got in trouble. I’ve showed them images of kids saying the n word. They didn’t take it serious. I was getting called racist comments when a fire drill was going on, a student was harassing me following me saying racist things and that I was doing it, again nothing was done. One time I told them how terribly harassed I got outside of school by the students from the school and they said nothing could be done because it was outside of school.Other Review3mo ago16 Reviews - Westbrook Early Learning Center

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love everything about Westbrook, with the exception of the school's secretary, Roberta. Roberta is very, very rude. She never smiles and she's always in a bad mood. Whenever I go to the office to check my kids out or to volunteer, I cringe because I hate to even have any contact with her. I don't understand how the principle have anyone working in the office with a behavior like hers.Parent Review6y ago4 Reviews - Prospect High School

"Friendly people, clean area, major stores and restaurants in nearby neighborhoods like Rosemont and Mt Prospect, with some major stores in our area. Family friendly and generally quiet, aside from trains and sirens. "

Des plaines has wonderful schools. Very easy to reach anywhere because of being close to the airport. We also have access to many major highways. Metra is easy to get to here for access to downtown."

"Perfect commute to the city or to the western suburbs. Never longer than 40 minutes if you’re heading to Elgin. Commute to the city can be as little as 25 minutes depending on which part of Chicago you’re going to."

"Lots of kids play in the front yards and even meet up in the small park by the townhouses. It’s a safe area, just teach your kids to look both ways before crossing the street since a good amount of cars go in and out from all around. Especially near downtown Des Plaines."
