5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am so happy that my daughter transferred to this school. The administration is actively involved with the students and making the school a unique place to learn. I get the feeling they really care about the students individually and their future success. They are very proactive and progressive in their thought processes. My daughter's team of teachers (8th grade) seem like they truly enjoy their students. From orientation to the present, the school just feels really good and my daughter said she couldn't be happier. We are glad we made the switch! So far so good. Two thumbs up!Parent Review2y ago21 Reviews - Ruffner Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCapitol High is a dump! The teachers and the administrators are failing the kids while the collect their pay checks every week. Some of the staff should be tested for drug abuse. The school is depressing and disorganized. It's hard to move from out of state and tolerate inadequate function of a school and it's school board. Shame on you Capitol High and Kanawha board of education for failing the student and parent of West Virginia.Parent Review9y ago8 Reviews - Check out schools near E Point Dr.

"Most homes have dogs or seems. I don’t believe we have any issues with loose pets roaming about, nor is there an issue with picking up after pets. I’ve never seen dog waste on the sidewalks. There’s a dog park less than a mile away"

"So many people have dogs around here. There is one individual who doesn’t have dogs and apparently hates dogs that bark, but aside from that it seems like everyone around me has dogs."

"There are many homeless people in the area and much drug use. Do not allow your children out alone and always leave your outside lights on and lock your door. Cars drive fast over the speed limit, so watch your children and keep your pets safe. "

"People have get togethers at Halloween. And we have a few community yard sales. Most residents here are very friendly and always stop to say hi or make a small conversation. Lots of dog walkers and children. A lot of the back yards are sparsely wooded so the children love to play out back. "
