"Downtown Douglas has incessant dog barking and fire department sirens and folks cruise up and down 20th street in side by sides with massive boom box speakers disturbing the peace. It's 100 percent walkable and a delightful place to live if you can somehow deal with the noise."

"Very safe and tranquil area, with very little traffic. Nice trails on nearby golf course, ducks & other wildlife near ponds. "

"It is a very safe environment in Douglas. It has many parks, many churches. You wouldn’t need a car to get around and using a bicycle would work just as well."

"We have a seasonal residence. It is a place to enjoy the peace and solitude of the desert grassland plateau and the 350 degree sunrises and sunsets. It is not overdeveloped and crowded. "
