4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall, my experience at Hamilton Middle School has been a mix of positives and negatives. While there are some good aspects, there are also areas that need improvement.Learning: Some teachers make learning fun and engaging, while others just go through the motions. It really depends on the class and the teacher.Teaching: Most teachers are respectful, supportive, and motivate students to learn. However, there are a few who stand out as either really good or really bad.Social-Emotional Support: The school does provide some support for students’ mental health, like occasional surveys, and some students feel comfortable talking to staff. However, not everyone finds the support they need.Special Education: From what I’ve seen, students with disabilities do receive the help and accommodations they need, which is a positive aspect of the school.Safety: There are fights occasionally, and bullying isn’t really addressed unless it gets reported, which can be a problem. The school could do more to ensure a safer environment for students.Family Engagement: The school involves families once in a while, but it’s not a big focus. There could be more effort in keeping parents engaged in their children’s education.Would I recommend this school? It depends. There are good teachers and support in some areas, but issues with safety and inconsistency in engagement make it a mixed experience.Student Review1y ago5 Reviews - Jordan High School

"Don’t live here. Overcrowded, sketchy, whole city reeks of weed. Not an ideal neighborhood to raise kids in. No parking whatsoever, you can’t walk outside in the neighborhood because it’s questionable. Cara get broken into."

"The parks have a lot of homeless people. Most streets have lights but don’t seem to be safe at night. North LB needs a lot of improvements. "

"The homless encampments behind our apartment make it feel real special. Sometime we get human feces on the sidewalk as an extra bonus of neighborly love. The city does t do anything to prevent this there’s trash all over we get no help"

"My commute is decent. I have a few points of interest about equidistant from my home. They are also close to my home so the commute is short without traffic. I usually commute by car."

"There are too many people on drugs and homeless people walking around all hours of the night. Keep a close eye on your children. I don't feel it is safe for small children to be walking alone."

"There are four stray dogs that I know of in the area around my street and they often roam. One of the larger ones chased me for a good while when I was on my way home one night. It’s also annoying how some dog owners do not pick up after their dogs. "
