Unfortunately, my experience with Arroyo has been extremely frustrating due to the complete lack of responsiveness from the principal, counseling team, and management staff. Repeated attempts to reach out for assistance—whether regarding academic concerns, student well-being, or administrative matters—have gone unanswered or been met with generic, unhelpful responses.The counseling department, which should be a key resource for students, is nearly impossible to get in touch with, leaving students and parents without guidance when it's needed most. The principal and administrative staff seem disengaged, showing little effort in addressing concerns or even acknowledging inquiries.A school should be a place where communication is prioritized, especially when it comes to student success and well-being. Unfortunately, that is not the case here. If you are considering this school, be prepared for frustration and a lack of support from leadership.I truly hope the administration takes these concerns seriously and implements changes to improve their responsiveness and commitment to their students and families.

Negative one. Admin is in constnat reactive mode to problems but wont take a stand against so many social ills that plague the place. Kids regularly run around out of control on campus and noone does anything about it. Gen ed teachers dont attend IEP meetings

I’ve been a parent at Grant School for 6 years now and I have to say from pre-pandemic to now the community at Grant has gone above and beyond to establish a safe and supportive environment for all. I really appreciate how the well established staff (we have a lot of staff who’ve been at Grant for decades) have taken the newer staff members in to help them keep that same sense of a tight-knit community and family. I also love how the staff collaborates with the PTA to put on events like field trips, Scholastic Book Fairs, Fall Festival, school dances, movie nights and more. A huge thing that sets Grant a part is the 5th grade outdoor camp which is a three day stay at Camp Arroyo and made a huge impact on my child. I used to drive by Grant and never want to send my kids to Grant because all I saw was the traffic! But after getting to know the best crossing guard ever (John who memorizes all the kids names and supports them in their anctivities) and knowing where to park or walk I don’t want to leave!

They are all very nice and are respectful.
