We moved from Charlotte which is a huge district. Not knowing what to expect, I have been pleasantly surprised. On the first day of school the guidance counselor found me in the car pool line to follow up on how my child did on her first day at her new school. Then because the school gets out late I had concerns about getting her to dance. The principal called me back within 30 minutes. The PTO on the first day sent home an ORGANIZED calendar of all the events for the school year. Pause---- while I try to see if I am dreaming. No, this is really happening. She has 17 kids in her class, the teacher responds on "DOJO" almost too fast I feel bad. My child is a high-flyer and my concern was she would have "less-than" education. We originally wanted to go to Oakboro Stem thinking it would challenge her, I can tell you it is the greatest blessing she didn't get in there. They have made sure my child is challenged, they follow up with me, they have it going on over at the Dale! The PTO has great events too. You also do not realize it, but the school is newer than it looks when you drive by. There is a brand new 2 story building behind the old one. They also offer great field trips for the kiddos. We are so so happy we moved out to Stanly County and found this GEM of a school. The staff and teachers are just top notch.

"Very safe , neighborly town. It takes mist new people to the area at least 5 years before people accept you. Very close knit community. Town Hall controls everything in the town adequately. Great place to live . "

"Very friendly town, everything you need that is nearby, beautiful area. There is a pool club for those who want to become a member. There is a restaurant, grocery and little shops in town, and within easy driving distant for more amendity to places like Walmart, and other groceries and etc."
