9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethere are pros and cons about this school. i recently graduated after being here for 3 years and i was apart of their aiat program.pros:-if you go to the aiat at portola, the teachers here are very good and they support their twice exceptional kids!-they have a wide variety of electives and clubs-everyone is loved and supported by other staff-the dance class here is so much fun and it’s very easy to mingle with others and make friendscons:-multiple fights occur here-some kids pressure others to do uncanny behavior-lots of bullying occurs-some people pull pranks, such as pulling the fire alarm during classas a person that went there herself, i did have a few issues here and there, but it was overall a very memorable experience.Other Review8mo ago68 Reviews - Lanai Road Elementary School

From Ms Alas, Ms Manalos, Coach PJ to Robbie, Jane, Ms Elan and all of admins and the amount if parent involvement, the enrichment, it goes on and on... we are just so thankful.Parent Review7y ago19 Reviews - Birmingham Community Charter High School

"I like the accessibility of this area, however, prices are insane! It is in demand, but apartments are small, there are no secured parking, shared drive way.,,"

"Commute to Westside is always slow and long because of 405. Also lot of people use Hayvenhurst as a shortcut and so it backs up every morning. "

"It has a small town feel in the heart of a big City. Encino is very central and has easy access to the west side and the east sides of LA plus across the valley. Parking is easy. Lots to do with kids. Wish we had better restaurants, my only grip. "

"The area is usually very quiet and safe. There are a lot of shops, restaurants, and grocery stores conveniently along Ventura Blvd too. The homeless population has risen over the past year but it’s still lower than most parts of LA. "

"There are tons of dogs and people who walk them, but we are in the hills and the streets are steep. It is great exercise for me and my dogs. People are very respectful about picking up after their dogs. There is a great off leash park a few miles away and also great hiking trails up on Mulholland"

"Hayvenhurst is infested with people who think it’s a shortcut from 101S to 405S every morning. If you’re going to live here, find work in the valley to avoid the stress of traffic every morning "
