I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts and experiences regarding my time at Agawam High School. While I thoroughly enjoyed the teachers there, I have to say that my overall experience with the school was less than desirable.To start with, the atmosphere at Agawam High School was somewhat toxic. The prevalence of vaping in the bathrooms and distracting behavior of some students in class was truly frustrating. It was hard to stay focused on the material being presented when some of my classmates were continually disrupting the class. I felt that the school administration should have been more proactive in addressing this issue, as it was quite disruptive to the learning environment.Furthermore, the amount of homework assigned by my teachers was overwhelming. It felt like I was always struggling to keep up with the work, and it made my life very stressful. I understand that some level of homework is necessary, but I felt like the amount assigned at Agawam High School was excessive and unnecessary. It had me working overnights just to get 67% grades on the paper/assignment. It is killing me.Overall, while I appreciated the efforts of the teachers, I did not enjoy the learning experience at Agawam High School. The distractions and workload made it challenging to succeed and, if I had to do it again, I would have chosen a different institution.
