"Very quiet, not a lot of activities for children. If you like rural living this is for you. That is a positive for many nowadays. "

"I’m not aware of any community events that happen in the area! It would be great if there were things, however I feel this is the safest area you could live! It’s beautiful also!!"
    • Jonequess
"It is friendly and pet friendly as well. When the stars come out at night during the clear skies are great in this quiet neighborhood."
    • Harry D. M.
"Stuart is a quiet small rural town in the mountains (think Mayberry :), and just beautiful views of the mountains everywhere. It's only a few minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway where we've taken advantage of loads of hiking trails, biking, and fishing. Stuart has a local park within walking distance of our house, and there is a great biking trail nearby - the New River Trail which is a "Rail to Trail" that allows horses as well as bicycles. Personally, we were looking for peace and serenity, and have a mountain creek in our back yard with little rapids and big rocks! We'll take that over nightlife any day of the week. Which brings me to the categories that I recommended for the area. I didn't include singles because of the nightlife thing, but from the standpoint of sports type activities, I might should have included them. I've walked a couple of trails and came to the conclusion that they were definitely for the young! "
