    The property has a good mix of trees, containing mostly Ponderosa pines on the slopes and upper areas, while the 22 acres of bottomland has a mix of ash, elm, box elder, and the occasional hackberry and cottonwood. Wild plums, grapes and chokecherries grow abundantly, and No Flesh Creek wanders for about a mile through the bottomland, providing opportunities for trapping beaver and raccoon. Hunting abounds with healthy populations of rabbit, turkey, whitetail, and the occasional mule deer. Managed elk and bison hunts are available as well, bison are often seen grazing on the property. Predator hunters can pursue coyote, bobcat, and mountain lion. The Pine Ridge Reservation sells licenses that permit hunting on the entire reservation, allowing hunters access to over a million acres of land.
    Allen Dam, a small lake, is a short ¾ mile from the property, and provides good pan fish and canoeing opportunities. There is a boat launch, and picnic and camping areas.
    The acreage is accessible by way of BIA Route 4, which is paved, and it’s a short ½ hour drive to the Badlands; Rapid City, Sturgis, Deadwood, and the Black Hills are within a 2-hour drive, perfect for a day trip.
