4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are not overly happy with school. Starting day 1, we were held by crossing guard till 8:15 and were not allowed to enter school gate. Some crossing guards are really mean and disrespectful. They will yell at the parents in front of their own kids. And Mary is one of them. Teacher helpers - scream at kids during the lineup - as parent you would never scream like that on your own child. You will see that loss of control every morning in the school back yard. Specially where 2-3 grade lines up. But have to admit - Kindergarten is the best and very professionally handled. Teachers - depends from personality of course. There is always a hope that next year you will get a better one. Management (principal, vice principal etc - I bet in support what is happening there - because you will not see any behavior like that from employees if it would not be supported by school upper management. New thing - breakfast in classrom. Starts at 8:30 - done by 9. It translates that from your kid education time every week is stolen 2.5 hours. And that time suppose to be allocated for education, not for eating. What is wrong with having breakfast early and start learning process 8:38 as before? as you see there are a lot of areas to imporveParent Review7y ago1 Reviews - Bellamy Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs i just finished my 3 years at bellamy i have to say there are some teachers that actually care and are good but the rest couldn’t care less and act like they hate their jobs. this school put a huge toll on my mental health and i really wish i didn’t go here. the drama the fights the bullying everything was just terrible. they did the panorama surveys and acted like they cared but even after clearly stating you weren’t okay they would “put you on a list” and then you never got help. they don’t care.Other Review9mo ago5 Reviews - Chicopee Comprehensive High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child’s new English teacher, hired this school year in 2025, is functionally illiterate. That a high school student would spend his days being instructed by a staff member who essentially belongs in a special ed classroom himself is downright scary and irresponsible. The students graduating from this school won’t even qualify to operate a cash register when they graduate. What will happen to the new generation? Read the other reviews of this school for more examples of illiteracy. This country has no hope for the future if these are the standards set.Parent Review4mo ago7 Reviews - Check out schools near Agent.

"Depending on which area of E.Spfld, most places are good for dog walking, prior to evening hours. Oneself might find the need to be prepared for possible unexpected unruly activity. "

"This town is a quiet community on the whole. I live near the Elms College which is a delightful neighborhood to walk around. I feel it is a safe place to raise children. This area has many of the older homes in Chicopee so it is an interesting neighborhood to look at. It has a municipal power company that gets power up and running after any weather related power issue. It also has reasonable rates. I believe you get a lot for your money with the real estate in this city."

"Well lit streets, plenty of sidewalks on side streets and main roads, a lot of neighborhoods with connecting streets giving the ability to walk longer distances without main road traffic. Busy roads with faster moving traffic can sometimes cause difficulty walking safely. "
