5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers, principal, and school nurse have been wonderful at Scotland. The facilities are nice too. However, the school administration would not support or put into place the recommendations of our pediatrician for my child’s health needs. Our child deserves to go to school like every other child. But in this situation has been denied safety so we had to pull them out of this district and send them elsewhere. The CAVE option for this school is awful for elementary students.Parent Review4y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near Scotland Rd.

"There is a great park with a splash pad, and the community center is nearby as well. Be careful of cars speeding, we have a real problem with that."

"Downtown is bad. The outskirts are nice. Lots of traffic for a small town. Some schools are good. I went to south Hamilton as a kid and it was great. My daughter goes to fayetteville elementary and I like that school as well. "

"The history of this town. Close To Gettysburg and ideal location for commuters. Unfortunately the rapidly expanding population has caused an increase in crime over the last few years."

"Downtown chambersburg isn’t the best place for dogs. I really don’t know what else to say. Guilford township, fayetteville, warm spring road area, Saint Thomas, basically those outer areas are better for dog owners. I wouldn’t walk my dog in the borough. Nowhere for the dog to poop or pee."

"At times the traffic can be cumbersome. There are a lot of factories here and that means jobs. This brings in people from all over. We have 3 entrance/exit ramps to get to i81. We also have a good variety of shopping and restaurants. All in all, this town has a lot going for it. "

"The neighborhood is very nice. The people are friendly, can be noisy sometimes. A con for me is when the neighbors and their kids walk through my yard or the side of my house, I’m on an end unit. Another con when people park in front of your house to visit someone a few houses down and there’s parking in the back! Then your guests or you can’t park near your house. A pro is I do feel safe here there’s hardly if at all any activity. There’s good schools here! Good area to start a family or retire to. "
