5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI can see and have experienced a huge improvement in this school since the pandemic. We moved to Lomita in 2020 and my daughter enrolled in 5th grade in this school. We came from DOWNEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT and I love it there but we needed to move for a job and enrolled in Eshelman Avenue Elementary School there. At first, there's a big transition in the school district because DUSD is such a wonderful district and you can see your child will learn perfectly my kid is new in LAUSD which is a big change. Her journey at LAUSD 5th grade at this school is awesome since she went to Mr. Kenny Chung's class and he cares for his students' future, which some parents don't understand. That was School year 2020-2021 5th Grade at Eshelman Ave. Elem. Sch. To make my story short. Right now my little one I enrolled and attending this school and it's close to our home. I can see a huge difference before and now and everything has changed. Started 2023-2024SY kindergarten and now 2024-2025SY 1st grader. The events and activities and the teaching are Excellent they tell you the problem of your child and what to improve and if there's an accident or something happens to your child they call you immediately. I always attend Orientation Parent Conferences and some Events to see what will they offer to students to lessen anxiety in coming to school and enjoy being in school. I can see some similarities in DUSD's way of handling the students that are being practiced here in ESHELMAN AVENUE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL which is good because it improves the way of the students thoughts and feelings. The auditorium equipment was updated, and the classrooms were neat, clean, and huge. And I hope they can add more assistant teachers (LAUSD people should work on this).Parent Review1y ago10 Reviews - Alexander Fleming Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am absolutely FED up with this school. They are not equip to handle kids with disabilities. They are low in resources when you ask anything that your child needs, they push back ALL the time. They deny IEP meetings, speech, OT because they feel the child doesn't need it. But the child in question has autism and ADHD. They either are under funded or they are greedy and distribute the child's funding else where. They are rude do not answer emails, it is a huge mess. Avoid this school if you have kids with disabilities, they do not care about your child. They want to keep the children behind academically and keep pushing them to the next grade without the help they actually need. They claim they can only get a full time one on one aid / paraprofessional when the child has behavior issues. Guess what parents? this is a HUGE lie!!! DO YOUR RESEARCH!Parent Review2mo ago19 Reviews - Nathaniel Narbonne Senior High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHonestly, this school has changed my life completely. There is always an adult to talk to in confidence and they always try to do the best for your education. Some teachers are strict but they do it so that we can learn education. I give it a 10/10. I learned English ( basic) in less than two years I love the emotional support they give us all, some students are disrespectful but it is part of adolescence or problems or traumas but for me my experience was the best since I arrived in the United States I went to that school I have tried several schools but Nathaniel Narbonne high school helped me a lot....I love themStudent Review2y ago14 Reviews - Humanities And Arts (HARTS) Academy Of Los Angeles

"It is pretty scary here. As soon as we can come up we are out of this place. Going north or somewhere we do these gunshots every night. "

"That some owners do not pick up after their dog. Many different owners we have seen don’t do it and they ignore it like it’s not part of their problem."

"I love the city but some people don't follow the law or the rules, Especially when showing the kids pick up the pu- dog! My neighbor leaves the garbage on the sidewalk. They do not care about others, they do not know that small things will have a big impact on the community or the city."
