"we have a police academy near by a school's, sidewalks and parks. Close to stores and gas stations. can be a little crazy at times with younger kids being misdirected"

"Our family has lived in Old Mechanicsville for three years. The neighbors are friendly and there is a real community feeling here! It's great to see kids playing outside, folks walking their dogs, jogging, riding bikes and scooters, etc. We love all the colorful Victorian houses and gardens in this neighborhood! It is convenient to be centrally located and have easy access to all of Knoxville's attractions. As Knoxville continues to develop its parks, greenways, and public amenities in the area, this neighborhood will just keep getting better! "

"Well the drive by shootings & prostitutes opening your car doors is pretty unique I'd say....don't move here. We're getting out asap."

"This is a great area for someone looking for the turn of the century architecture and charm. It is within walking distance to downtown and the local neighborhood has went through quite a bit of remodeling."
