What Locals Say about Cranston

  • Trulia User
"Commute is decent. Cranston is near the lost highway. I still use Google Maps to get everywhere although that is not the fault of Cranston. I wish cooler people would move here. "

"Western Cranston is the best area in Cranston to live if you want to get away from the "city" aspect of Cranston but not be too far from the highway, schools, market and restaurants. I have lived in Cranston the majority of my life and I have lived in 5 different areas of Cranston. There are positives about most areas of Cranston. This area is known for the "place to aspire to move to" if you have lived in Cranston and want to stay in Cranston but are ready for a more mature, family friendly, low crime, rural-ish area. The schools are the best in the city. "

"This is a great little, peaceful community made up of primarily small, well kept homes. Comps are not realstic, since they include homes in the Dean Estates area which is very upscale , and routinely sell for much more.. The lions share of the homes in this neighborhood are of very similar Cape Cod design built on small city lots. Very good schools nereby."
