  • Trulia User
"It’s the perfect combo of young and old, lots of families with kids and dogs. Walk to Rittenhouse sq and stores and doctors at Penn.easy in and out of city."
  • Trulia User
"Much of the neighborhood's uniqueness is its Old World charm: lovely historic homes and cobblestone streets, many of which are dotted with modern highrises. And we have the fabulous Schuykill River Trail."
  • Trulia User
"Fitler Square is a great place for children to grow up. It has two schools—one private and one public—a playground, and a diverse community."
  • Trulia User
"Commuting here takes all forms: People walk, ride bikes, drive, or take the bus or trolley."
  • Trulia User
"Farmers markets, events in Fitker Square, Halloween."
  • Trulia User
"I’ve lived here for 10 years and love it. It’s quiet and family friendly but super close to parks, shopping and restaurants- truest a gem in the city"
  • Trulia User
"It’s so walkable and friendly. Great for dogs and kids. Lots of restaurants, small shops, etc. One downside is lack of decent parking"
  • Trulia User
"Lived here for almost 10 years, many of our neighbors have lived here for 20+ years. It’s really a diverse community of neighbors - different ages and backgrounds. Really love it!"
  • Trulia User
"Best neighborhood in Philadelphia hands downs. So many parks and close to amazing restaurants and bars"
  • Trulia User
"Close enough to walk to all the best bars and restaurants in the city, yet far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Proximity to Schuylkill River Trail is tremendous!"
  • Trulia User
"Imagine having a house in the city, within walking distance of City Hall, only ten minutes walk to Fitler Square, near to many restaurants, and shops, but also next door to a park, the river trail and just across the river from Penn and major hospitals. Surprisingly, it's not noisy. A great private pre-school and primary school is just steps away. The neighborhood is truly diverse, with some long time residents happily co-existing with newcomers, with retirees enjoying the toddlers in Fitler Square. And the public school is quite decent. The only drawback is parking, so houses with onsite parking are highly valued. "
