"Harrison is only 1 square mile, Transportation not needed to get to the downtown area, with everything within walking distance. Buses and trains easily accessible to cammute to the big cities, Newark, Jersey City, Hoboken, NewYork City, etc. It is a very diverse community with a varying range of professional and blue collar inhabitants,. International shops and restaurants can be found and with the southern part of town evolving through gentrification with higher end apartment buildings and business establishments opening up in place of abandoned industrial buildings. Red Bulls professional soccer stadium is attracting an increase in younger professionals. Despite the desirable aspects, traffic is a nightmare when games are scheduled. You can literally crawl faster as the streets have not been updated to support the increased traffic flow. Overall the diversity, close proximity to major highways and cities and access to all modes of transportation make it a desirable community for many."

"Harrison is a working class town with lots of families and mom-and pop shops, markets and restaurants. There is a large Peruvian and Colombian community , as well as Brazilian and Portuguese enclave, making for a vibrant and family-oriented town. Because the PATH stops here on the way to Jersey City and the WTC, it is a great place to live and commute. The town is undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation/ urban renewal project near the PATH station. This, along with the presence of Red Bull Arena, will likely draw a more affluent group,to Harrison. That being said, the older part of town with its ethnic mix, local shops and family friendly vibe are really what make this place special. One complaint? Wish there were more green space and better use and upkeep of the park and walking areas. More flowers and pocket gardens would make this a really lovely place to live."
