Situated at 10th and Wyandotte in the heart of the Library District, Board of Trade is an innovative, historical renovation project bringing 14 floors of the city's most contemporary apartments to life. Once renowned as the largest grain exchange in existence, the Board of Trade building was erected in 1924 as home to the Kansas City Board of Trade. Today, the building has been painstakingly restored. Great care was taken to maintain many of the original, ornate elements: the decorative terrazzo floors, polished Missouri limestone walls, and facade depicting the various commodities once brokered in the large trading hall on the 14th floor now home to some of the city's most luxurious penthouses. Board of Trade offers a range of studios as well as one- and two-bedroom units. Numerous destination spots are in short walking distance. Upscale amenities abound including a fitness center, complete with modern machines, a Jacuzzi, spa, tanning bed, and indoor swimming pool. Residents will enjoy our computer center, equipped with wireless internet and our large clubroom with indoor putting green. Security is covered from top to bottom by courtesy patrol, keyless entry system, accessible security video feeds, and attached garage parking. On-site management, maintenance, dry cleaning pickup and delivery are merely a few of the countless other amenities also included. (**Penhouses are multi-level! Please call for PENTHOUSE PRICING AND AVAILABILITY.)

"the area is mostly commercial or financial with large apartment buildings interspersed. so it's lots of traffic. lots of cars. lots of pedestrians. lots of downtown City Life For better or for worse "

"It’s the only neighborhood located exactly where it is. In fact the only place you can find it in Kansas City is in the place where it is located geographically. "

"I don't see a lot of kids around , accept on the weekends at the river market . River front park is a good place to go and it's a great place to bring your dogs , if you do bring your dogs check out the bark bar next to riverfront park off of grand . very cool place. "

"The area has class and nostalgia, but like anywhere , there is bad to go with the good. it's almost to the point where we don't even want to walk the dogs at night without carrying. "

"The Rivermarket has a farmer’s market every weekend within walking distance; in addition to, multiple dining areas and coffee shops."

"Personal vehicle when I commute to school and work or home. The commute has easy access to the interstate for easy access to anywhere and anytime in the city."

"I feel like I am in the middle of all the action. I’m a 5 minute walk from the river market area, a 5 minute walk from the power and light district, and a street car ride away from the crossroads arts district. This area of KC is filled with great restaurants and bars and is pretty safe. I also like how close I am to both the interstates that lead to the north and south of Kansas City. "

"I drive to Liberty, Mo about 15-20min north and it’s always a smooth commute! Not much traffic leaving the city."

"I have always loved living here. I have been living here the last 3 years but I use public transit, so I have always traveled through here"
- Garth F.

"There are no dog parks nearby. But the area is quite pet-friendly other than that. Note: on the grocery stores, I think many drive to nearby stores and use the downtown stores as back up."

"Lots of access to public transportation including city bus and street car very close. I drive my own vehicle. "

"Easy access to Highways! Their are no idiot drivers to deal with. So those of you with occasional, or all the time road rage, will be pleased with your fellow commuters! It’s nice to have your own vehicle here, however most everything you need on a daily basis is in walking distance. The sidewalks are double wide, for comfortable walking with you and your family. The scenery is Gorgeous here, from the top of the historic architectural tree, to the cute vintage light poles on those sidewalks! Have Fun :) "

"You are close to everything in Kansas City. You can walk to P&L or down to First Friday’s in the Crossroads District, but you can also walk to the year-round farmers market in River Marker and find amazing Vietnamese food in Columbus Park. "

"It’s downtown KC and there are tons of activities to do and easy access to everything. Events happen all the time."
