"This is my second year living here and it’s definitely an upgrade from the scenery I moved from . "

"I don't actually live in Goose Island unless the name of my area has changed. But the area around Division Street is pretty safe in my opinion."

"This area is safe and friendly. I always feel comfortable going outside and walking my dog at anytime or walking home from the bars. There is a heavy police presence in the area so you will never be far from one. I am in walking distance of grocery stores and parks and coffee shops. "

"Great neighborhood. Very walkable. Easy access to groceries, restaurants, bars, the lakefront, Lincoln Park and everything the Gold Coast and River North has to offer. Excellent transportation network with a quick drive or Uber to the Loop plus easy access to the Red Line and tons of bus routes. Safe area for city living. "

"central location, very quit ride to most downtown neighborhoods. amazing sunset views from our balcony. there are actually green spaces/parks."

"Currently renting looking to buy a property in another neighborhood. It’s convenient ie restaurants, grocery stores, CTA etcetera. I wouldn’t consider it a family neighborhood. There are the inherent issues that come with living in a downtown urban area that exist in any larger city ie crime, homeless."

"the whole area has a great vibe. And the amenities close by are awesome. Not to mention there are several ways to get to and from the area "

"I find this neighborhood to be diversified and have blocks of different architecture, good maintenance. "

"Close to public transportation, shopping, restaurants, parks and the lake! Love that I can get to any part of the city quickly. "
- Lorna

"Not a lot of grass in the area to take your dogs too. Parks are far from each other and if you have a dog like mine, she will only go on grass"

"Convenient, but needs better scheduling during peak hrs. Also, bus status at each stop! Dangerous to be standing out! "

"always electric and lively, but friendly for families and young professionals alike. distinctly urban, busy with a megadiversity. I've been in the neighborhood for two years and I think it'll be home for a long, long time if not indefinitely"

"Dog friendly, awesome park, many people drive fancy cars, the area could use a grocery store, overall good but it can feel unsafe walking at night "

"It's very urban with a lot of tourists and traffic. I wouldn't recommend this area to families but thg is good for professionals and busy working individuals. "

"The park district does a very good job of hosting events in the neighborhood that are good for all age groups."

"It is for young urban community that is not kid friendly. I also feel that is over priced as well as horrible parking prices and options . Please be mindful it is downtown living seniors and children I recommend subregion. The size of the condos down here are very limited "

"I walk everywhere. red and brown line like 4 blocks away. bikes everywhere. uber and lyft available. "

"I travel a lot for work, so my commute is typically a cab to the airport. Cabs are readily available in the neighborhood. I prefer them to Uber / Lyft, which are also readily available in the neighborhood. Other than that, probably 95% or more of my trips are by foot."
- Holly Y.

"There are a lot of dog-friendly buildings and a lot green areas for walks in the Near North neighborhood, especially West of Orleans street North of Chicago Ave."

"I travel frequently for work. O’Hare is about a 25 minute cab ride Monday morning. Thursday night varies a lot but is usually 45-55 minutes. When I’m not traveling, my office is in the Loop, a pleasant 30 minute walk from my apartment."

"Anywhere in Chicago is a great place to live. It is more suitable for singles than a family within this area. There are 24 hour diners and clubs that stay open to 4:00am. It is just a fun place to live, especially if you are single! "
