  • Jason.barrios
"Long to get to Tech center on south side of city. Commute to downtown is 15 minutes. Commute in north is easy."
  • Purplegirls_3
"i drive my car everywhere and lots of convenient shopping malls around the neighborhood. Easy access to 470 and 1-25 also back roads if not wanting to use the tolls. great community! "
  • Dawnnicastro
"People are friendly, and it’s a safe place to live. People are out walking their dogs a lot. It’s relatively quiet and pretty peaceful around here. Streets are well lit, and sidewalks/roads are in good shape."
  • Baylion22
"It’s quiet regardless of how many cars there are it’s peaceful, no loud music just crickets and birds. It’s as if the entire neighborhood is problay full of elderly hence why there are no loud noises not even at night. You may hear a car burn out if your outside from afar but that’s bout it. I see no other reason not to live here. I haven’t heard of any robins or killings in the area or gunshots, and no people using illegal drugs either."
  • Lluvia L. D.
"Any breed is welcome, it’s very much a dog loving neighborhood. Always see dogs walking, most people pick up after their dogs"

"so far we like it. neighbors are kind and maintain the property, I love the school district and it's a shorter commute to Denver."
  • Mercedes
"A gazillion miles away from anything. There's transit but the routes are awful. The neighbors seem friendly, but are extremely stand off-ish when it comes to newbies in the community. Otherwise it's a cute community. "
  • Tdrago111
"Like everywhere else in Colorado. Annoying and slow. so many people coming here and making more traffic. But great if you like to listen to music while you are being slowed down on the road. "
  • Brina E. D.
"I'm not that involved in the community to be able to tell you what makes it special. Personally, this part of Thornton is not somewhere I would suggest living. "
  • Miss P.
"Easy access to i25 is a major plus. Plus e470 isn't very far away either. Traffic isn't bad outside of rush hour, even then we will have access to a light rail very shortly. "
  • Danny A.
"Get to know the area around you want to live first. the are good parts and not so good parts. There is a lot of people that move here and like it here."
  • Kay W
"A lot of neighbors are very active with their dogs. There is a lot of open space and trails to walk your dogs."
  • Abe B.
"Trunk or Treat for Halloween. Thornton Fest in early summer. 4th of July fireworks show which is very unique. Pirate Fest in early autumn, at Webster Lake. Numerous Xmas lights all over the place, most notably, what my family has dubbed "The Box House", on Pecos St, just north of 100th. Numerous fireworks shows all over for New Year's. "
  • Cynthia M. R.
"Lived here 28 years and watched this area change a lot. It’s still a great neighborhood. We have enjoyed living here."
  • France
"I don’t know of any community events here. People decorate for the holidays seem nice enough. It’s mostly quiet."
  • Julie D.
"Good sledding hill nearby and the city pool. I like being close to grocery stores and shopping. Easy access to I-25, and quick to downtown."

  • Sharon
"Lived here for almost 15 years and have watched all the changes. I think it is a safe neighborhood and good for suburban life with families. "
  • Trulia User
"the HOA does have a few events each year to try to get the neighbors to come out and meet one another. They are usually geared more towards little kids than teenagers. "
  • Sharon
"there is two amazing public dog parks, top notch vets in area and water bowls for dogs out and about."
  • Mattnarielle
"The neighborhood I live in is not to bad. However if you have kids it’s always best to make sure they are in by 10 since there is some suspicious characters."
  • M
"Most people don’t pick up their dog poop, so if you have a dog, you have to be very careful about where they stick their face (and where you put your feet, too)."
  • Joelatafoya
"We have little get-togethers at my apartment complex. There are lots of fun community based events throughout the year. Thornton is a great place to live. "
  • Annette F.
"Good place to raise a family friendly people safe neighborhood great schools not great for public transportation until the light rail opens"
