"My neighborhood participates in a 100% crimefree neighborhood and that is why we liked our place here on Bonair Road near foothill and pretty much close to be able to do any errands under the sun. And pretty close to freeway."

"Super close to the transit station, and Vista Village is beautiful. There’s a nice little trail and stream with ducks all over it near the water park and it’s a nice stroll if you like taking the scenic route. The view from the top of the hill at the apartment complex is to die for."

"Pet owners need to be aware of wildlife here. Small animals (dogs, cats, rabbits) are prey. Also, no sidewalks or shoulders on roads, and people drive fast through switchbacks and winding roads make it tough to walk dogs. Look closely around specific neighborhood for walk-ability before moving."

"Vista is a friendly, beautiful city, North of San Diego, in San Diego County, CA. The residents are caring and considerate. It's a great place to live, with good schools. Vista has a strong rural, agricultural, and flower-growing heritage.....along with vibrant up-to date opprotunities for jobs, education, culture, and a serene lifestyle. "

"We retired to Vista after three long years of almost weekly searching San Diego county. Vista was teh subject of a 1998 PBS special entitled "Vista.. a climatic wonderland" for having more 72 degree days pre year than any city in the USA EVERY year. It is also one of the top ten cities to raise a family in the 1996 AND 2006 release "Top 50 Places to Raise a Family in the US". Clean clear warm mornings and early ocean breezes this Mediterranean micor clime is well know for it's citrus and avacados but even more for the well runn city government, progressive transportation (Light rail!), strongly supported infrastrustur growth and it's very strong VALUE in homes ( you get a LOT more here than in most 'bedroom' communities). Ingress/Egress is unmatched for major freeway access and main line perimeter roads. It is home to the SD regions CHP and SD County Sherrifs as well as the SD District Courthouse. Considered the jewel of the north county 'coastal communities' just 5 miles inland from the Carlsbad Beaches, vista is home to north counties largest park and outdoor entertainment center (Brengle Terrace and the Moonlight Amphitheater) Vista also hosts the oldest and largest Farmers Market, The fastest growing Business Park and hosts the largest number of microbreweries which San Diego has become world famous for. Small business friendly yet VERY family and community focused.... Vista simply won us over."

"Marlin Terrace now Marlin Dr is a perfect place to raise your children due to slow streets with room to play on. Inside the community has a Fenced Basketball court but can be used for hockey, four square, ball games and much more. The pool is always clean and the landscape during the spring is perfect, during the winter the landscaping looks a little ruff. Singles can live in the round about next to the pool. Couples without kids have the top of the hill for peace and quiet. Retirees have the bottom of the hill were the streets are wide and you are far enough from the pool and court to not be bothered. For the pets the northern hill has a wide open dog spot with pooh bags provided and places to sit and meet other animal lovers. This complex in all is well rounded and ha the potential to be great. HOA was replaced with a new company and the community stays on top of them keeping the HOA cost down and the money going to the proper agendas."

"Moved to Vista from Marina Del Rey in 2007 and LOVE IT. Warm mediterranean mornings and cool ocean breezes by 2 PM make the clime ideal. A PBS special declared Vista a "Climatic Wonderland"...best weather 24-7 of the top 50 places in America. Crime is lower than neighboring cities, city government and community involvement is great, NO graffiti, a new civic center (PAID for on-cost and ahead of schedule), Brengle Park's Moonlite Amphitheater is our own mini Hollywood Bowl, downtown is country quaint and friendly, San diego's newest BMW dealership just opened, the Krikorian Theater 'new' downtown has great restaurants and a super waterpark for the kids. Vista's schools are ranked as high as Poways (without the constant newspaper drama), the beach is just 5 miles away, the 78 Fwy is a quick connection east and west to access points north(Temecula 20 minutes) or south(Del Mar 20 minutes) quickly via the 5 or 15 fwys, and people are friendly! Whether top rated Dave's Bar-B-Que or the home cooking at our favorite Vista Way Cafe, resturants and entertainment are quality, close and first class. California's ONLY city to be voted one of "50 Fabulous places to raise a family" in 1996 AND 2006 (Google the book!!), Vista is our choice to live, raise a family, enjoy a clean and laid back north county San Diego lifestyle and the perfect place to retire. We invite you to join us soon!"
