" I was born and raised here. The Truth is there is 8 E. 5 N. and five S. and Pacific Highway are easily accessible and close just about less than a mile in any direction. But traffic is horrendous. The freeway entrance might be half a mile away but because of traffic it could take you 30 minutes to get to it. With schools the Navy base And normal commute it is very congested. The streets here just get locked."

"Close to the beach, a pedestrian town, not many chains in OB yet a short drive across the pennisula has everything you need (although what else do you need?) Perfect weather almost year round, your neighbor is a lawyer on one side and a skateboarding student on the other. Lots of neighborhood pride in this ecletic, casula one-of-a kind maybe last original beach town. Social consciousness and mindfulness are considered a necessity to live here. Only thing not to like is the posers and rude tourist. The cost to get in is high but worth every penny."

"I have lived here all of my life 62 years! It is on the peninsula and gives you the feeling of not being in the city with the bay on one side and the ocean on the other side. It is lovely and the weather is perfect!! No need for air conditioning and we hardly use the heater in the winter. Very Walk able near the library, banks, post office, shops, grocery stores, restaurants, etc."
