Student Review4y ago8 Reviews - Los Angeles Senior High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school staff are terrible. They forget important information and are lazy when it comes to helping students. They also do a poor job of getting parents involved in school activities or even sharing basic information overall. It’s just a horrible situation.Other Review3mo ago11 Reviews - Carson-Gore Academy Of Enviornmental Studies

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo, my first impression of this school was completely wrong. My son was initially part of the Autism Day program for his age group and when it was shuttered, he was pretty much forced to choose between staying there and moving to a different school. We chose the latter and that school, though it appeared to be more well-funded and more put together, we didn't quite get the support we expected for our son. We moved him back to Carson Gore and we able to work with the district to get him a one-on-one aide for mainstreaming and it's been a night day experience for him. He's improving every year and I fully attribute a lot of his successes to the environment Carson-Gore Academy was able to create for him. There's no question this is a school that needs funding and support badly, but what I see and hear from the parents is a beautiful network of caring individuals who are all invested in making sure the kids are taken care of. It's truly a beautiful thing to see and hear and for that I am grateful that my son is here at Carson Gore.Parent Review9mo ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near 2015 2nd Ave.
