"it’s nice like any other place that has the ups and down however, for the most part, people are friendly and neighborly. Issue is that some houses and apartment are oversaturated with tenant which causes a decrease of actual parking space on the street so parking is horrible. Worse than a lot of parts in LA."
  • Kkgregorio
"Long Beach is a great place for families, couples, and singles. People are very friendly in this city. I’m from the Bay Area in northern California and found that people in SoCal are generally more welcoming than in the Bay. "
  • Klkimball16
"Cool area depending on time of day. It can be active at times during the weekends. The sunset view is stunning up on this hill. "
  • Kevin Z
"Don’t move here. It is terrible living here. It’s very far from everything. There are no good restaurants and there is nothing ever going on"
  • Kevin Z
"Long Beach is a big city with all that that implies good and bad. It’ll teach your kids to be street smart, which is not necessarily a bad thing, and there are a lot of fun things for kids to do and experience "
  • Unspecified
"Big traffic circle, good amount of stores. There are a good amount of college kids in the neighborhood"
  • Lilia morua
"There are many families in our neighborhood often walking with their kids in strollers, bikes and walking their pets too. There are two parks walking distance from here. You do have to be cautious though because there are also homeless people roaming sometimes and they set up tents on Anaheim, just always be aware of your surroundings. "
  • Trulia User
"We do have homeless activity on main streets (Clark, Los Coyotes, Stearns) and occasionally will see them passing through on neighborhood streets."
  • Trulia User
"its a good neighborhood to live in love this place i love traffic circle would get another place here"
  • Trulia User
"I've lived here for 2 years it's a nice area i feel safe in this large complex. Alot of people have dogs that live here and they pick up after there dogs."
  • Trulia User
"I lived there for 4 years and made great memories with neighbors. Also everyone is just so happy and friendly. It’s great for kids, and an awesome place for friends."
  • Trulia User
"Safe community for all ages and very beautiful part of Long Beach city to be able to raise a family. Many stores around "
  • Trulia User
"doggy park in the neighborhoods great location people and pet friendly pleanty of food courts and grocery shopping and restaurants "
  • Trulia User
"Neighborhood watch, gatherings, potlucks, trick or treaters, farmers markets, restaurants and bars, shopping cities/ community clean up"
  • Sandra C.
"This is a nice neighbor but a few neighbors have too many junk cars and use street as personal driveway. "
  • Heathermidori
"there are a lot of green areas and parks to take your dog for a walk or play catch. it isn't far of a drive to get to a dog beach. "
  • Kiki J.
"Lots of parking and tons of friendly neighbors but avoid Wilton St. because there’s tons of registered pedophiles on that street. Cars don’t often get vandalized- it rarely happens. Don’t walk alone past 10pm. "
  • Kim G.
"People letting their dogs off leash makes it unsafe for others. We need to be thoughtful of other. "
  • Kelley B.
"It is fairly clean and not full of too many homeless. We have many friends in the area. It is near the ocean and has breezes."
  • That L.
"Diversity and inclusion is how I would describe the neighborhood. close to food, retail, parks, 10 minutes from the beach and CSULB #StriphLifeENT "
  • Judith F.
"Various dog friendly parks within walking distance, numerous dog owners that you see walking their dogs outside "
  • Lorena T.
"I lived in the area 4 years ago...alot has changed. It is close to beach and other major cities......."
  • Perry B.
"Commute to downtown LB about 15-20 minutes. Easy access to public transportation. I commute to downtown via streets & is way better than the congested freeways. Commute is enjoyable."
  • Abdullah I.
"No community events are held in this area. There decent parks that are in the area and lots of options in terms of food."
  • Meghan M.
"I don’t know of any community events. This is a very peaceful neighborhood, with well maintained properties. Lots of families and working class adults. Within walking distance of bars and restaurants. Love living here "
  • Richandziggy
"Very pleasant neighborhood. Neighbors are friendly, it’s quiet, and also pet friendly. I have lived in this area for 10 years and have had no incidence. My children feel safe to walk to local eateries at any given time of day. "
  • Lbcgirlie
"There’s all kinds of dogs in this neighborhood so make sure you keep your dog on a leash. And be sure to pick up the poop when your dog poops on someone else’s lawn."
  • Silverlaken
" I commute to Glendale takes about an hour LA downtown 45 minutes not too bad. Living in Long Beach is very nice although where we’re located is very noisy and I would never live here at this location."
  • Disneyassict19
"People walking dogs, close to restaurants and shopping all within walking distance . Neighbors are friendly and this is a nice area to live "
  • Jon C. M.
"I’ve lived in Artcraft Manor for 15 years It’s an awesome neighborhood! Mostly blue collar working class Quiet, clean, and safe. Close to parks, shopping. Restaurants, airport, freeways, and the beach"
  • Lvellevit
"There are a few dogs, but there isn't enough room for them. Most buildings have at least 4 apartments in them & if a dog barks too much, people complain. "
  • Alexander S.
"Whenever the farmer's market is in town, I enjoy the environment, food, and merchandise, but most of all, I enjoy all the local tail... THE LOCAL DOG TAILS THAT IS! "
