"quiet, clean, and safe neighborhood with a great park and excellent elementary school at the center."
  • Ira S.
"It is a very nice area to live with a family. Ortega Park has a lot of space. Most of the streets are comfortable for walking or riding a bike."
  • Michael C.
"Movies that make people feel incredibly special and are wonderful and spectacular. Also, pool, and stand up. "
  • Damajiausa
"It’s an established community, it’s quite and kids friendly. The landscaping is already perfectly done (lots of greens, it feels luxurious in Bay Area setting heh). Most people are owning, but the renting won’t be hard because of the good schools. "
  • Delal W.
"There are always people out walking their dogs or playing with them in the park. It seems to be a dog friendly area."
  • Sen V.
"Sunset Oaks community is very quite community and good neighbors with kids."

"This part of Birdland is a bedroom community. Restaurants and shopping are mostly handled with a car trip (often on the way home from work). Tucked safely away from major roads, noise and traffic are refreshingly muted compared to surrounding areas. Houses have 2-car garages, but most people use them for storage and park in their driveways or use the ample street parking. Lower and middle schools are excellent "Cupertino" ones, but Fremont High remains a stumbling block. With the surge of kids graduating from the middle school, however, there is hope that the high school will improve to the top tier with time. The area contains almost exclusively 3 and 4-bedroom houses. No condos. No apartments. Most residents are either retired couples or high tech workers with kids. Many residents are asleep by 10:00 and nearly the entire street is dark by 11:30. Comcast is the only internet service supplier. My house is too far for DSL. There is no fiber. There is no community wifi. Highway access to 280 and 101 N is excellent. Access to 237 and 101 S is OK. If you work for Apple, the commute is great: Infinite Loop campus and the new spaceship campus are a short drive on local roads. (I sometimes walk!) "

"We are family of 3 with a girl lived in the neighborhood for 8 years, our daughter graduated from the Stocklmeir Elementary school. She loves that school, it is a well balance school with very good teachers & staff over all. We often take a good walk to the Ortega Park next to the school. The neighborhood is extremely kids & pets friendly. Our neighbors are always watch up for each other. Great neighborhood to raise family with child/children. For young couple, it is a neighborhood centrally located in the South Bay, easy access to Hwy 280, 101, 234 & 85. "

"I really enjoy living here. Good for every age. School is great!!! Park is nice."
  • 2006ashok
"Ideal for famililies with kids. Has a park within the community. Gym and swimming pool for residents within the community. Cupertino Schools. Walk to school, park, grocery, bus stop and Sunnyvale community center"
  • Mehetabelle M.
"Great community center, fruit orchard (sells freshly picked apricots and cherries). Close to parks, library, school, tennis and swimming centers, shopping, restaurants, highways, yet residential neighborhoods are private."
