7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's incredibly frustrating to see a well-funded school completely drop the ball when it comes to caring for its students, with the counselors being a major letdown. Instead of providing genuine guidance and support, they seem to be there solely to collect a paycheck and call it a day. They lack any genuine care for the students they are responsible for. Growing up and attending school here, my counselor was the person I turned to the most and looked forward to conversing with. Sadly, my daughter( her counsler jaun barrios) doesn't feel that way at all.Counselors are supposed to be the go-to people for students who need advice or help, but it's as if they're robots programmed to give canned responses. Not only do they fall short in helping students, but they are even worse when it comes to being resourceful or helpful for parents. It almost seems impossible to have a real heart-to-heart conversation with any of them. It's great that they answer our questions as they're paid to do, but please, at least pretend like you care about the students you are providing help for. They clearly don't care about the kids they're supposed to be guiding. It's really sad to see. If you're that miserable, why be a counselor at all? Don't ruin a student's educational path because you hate your job. It's such a waste of resources and potential. Education should be about more than just fancy facilities and a big budget. It's about helping students grow, and this school is failing miserably at thatParent Review6mo ago - J Michael Lunsford Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is truly a wholesome and diverse community that has provided a nurturing environment for my two children, one in 1st grade and the other in 2nd grade. I am especially pleased with the support they offered to my 1st grader, who was an IEP student and had transferred from Fairfax. Since joining this school in Pre-K, we've witnessed a consistent and positive growth experience. The dedicated teachers have played a pivotal role in nurturing their development and have been actively involved in their progress, making it a wonderful educational journey for both of them. The principal's commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive school environment adds to the overall positive experience we've had here.Dedication to the well-being and academic success of all students is evident, and their open-door policy and regular interactions with parents are greatly appreciated.Parent Review4mo ago - Check out schools near 25588 Poland Rd #L3DXJC.

"Parking is TERRIBLE in the neighborhood. After 5PM, forget a spot in the neighborhood. It’s a nice neighborhood, but it was a dealbreaker. Also, noise from outside does echo inside the house and can be a nuisance. "

"Most the the people in the neighborhood own the homes so they trend to take care of them a little more then renters. Also most the the people in the neighborhood have lived there for more then 20 years so we do not have a influx of outsiders this give everybody a safe and secure feeling."

"The neighborhood is family friendly, safe and quiet. Local schools are excellent. There are a variety of eating establishments and shops throughout the area. "
