7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe love this school. Most (not all) teachers are very communicative with parents, sending home updates, or emails to families. We love knowing what’s going on in the classroom and how we can support teachers at home with assignments, projects, and even the fun stuff. Our young kids tell us the staff is very fair and good to them. The only complaint is the super short window they have to eat. My kid brings most of her lunch home because of the quick lunch turnaround. Academically, we are very happy with the school and the staff. We’re not fans of tons of homework as it takes away from the only 2 hours I have with my kids before bedtime routines. Even if a teacher assigned more homework, I honestly would likely not push my kids to finish it because I believe family time is equally as important. So I’m thankful for CE for not overloading kids with homework.Parent Review2y ago - Bixby High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur family moved here two years ago and our child experienced the Middle School and Ninth Grade Center. We understand the Virus hit and the School District and especially the teachers had to deal with it but it has been just sad. The online efforts put forth were just horrible, boring and mostly a waste of time. At the Ninth Grade Center many of the teachers broke contract and left during the school year when the students needed them the most and just left them to fend for themselves in required courses. As parents we expected better from the District and our children were the ones that suffered the educational loss. Why the District could not keep the mask requirement until the last day of school was just strange as there was only a few weeks of school left and why take any chances at all with the student population at the end of the year ? Having lived in several areas of Oklahoma we find Bixby has a very different vibe from any area we have been in. Something you just can' t put your finger on but it is there... something just not quite right. We really hope for a "normal" school year for the kids next year and beyond so things can level out.Other Review2y ago - Bixby Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWORST SCHOOL EVER!! I was bullied for 2 years and still am in high school! The girls are toxic and awful, the boys are only into the toxic girls, so then they become toxic and the environment is awful! They don’t care about you, they teach nonsense I’m never gonna use, and they are just an awful team. So I never recommend coming here!Student Review7mo ago - Central Intermediate School

"Bentley park is nearby! It has a splash pad and lots of slides and fun things for the kids to do. Near Bentley park is a nice trail that leads along the river. It’s great for exercising and just getting outside with the kids. Always feel really safe and the passerby’s are very friendly and kind. "

"There aren’t any dog parks close. Lots of houses with dogs that live outside. Not many trails to go on walks. You can go on walks through the neighborhood but you’ll get barked at or stared at by the neighbors"

"Not safe for families anymore No one cares for safety and the well being of the neighborhood. People are trashy moving in and allowing Thieves to move in and destroy homes and bring the value of my area down. "

"There is NOTHING fun for kids to do within a safe walking distance of this neighborhood. There are no sidewalks & people are irresponsible with their dogs. Loose, large intimidating dogs are a regular occurrence here. "
