"I drive my personal vehicle because we don’t have public transit in LW. It’s 16 miles to where I work but it usually takes me 45 minutes because there are too many people on the road. Hwy 27 is like a racetrack and you literally are living on the edge when you drive on it. Too many people for this small area."
  • Susanelia11
"Mainly aims to please the older generation 55+ there really isn’t anything for the younger generations to do. No restaurants mainly just fast food. Have to commute to neighboring cities for entertainment and dining "
  • Vickie
"It is a 55 plus neighborhood a lot of activities fishing walking riding golf carts. Bingo a lot more "
  • Heather.walker1496
"Bad schools, no jobs, angry people. I can’t find a school that focuses on kids understanding the material they just pass them into the next grade"
  • Michele
"We live across the street from Bok Tower Gardens. Our neighborhood street have trees & has hills. It makes for a peaceful place to live."
  • Abby C.
"I grew up here. People are friendly and considerate. The town is well maintained. Plenty of activities and beautiful scenery."
  • Ronica K. T.
"the area offers so many family oriented no cost adventures to discover together. from a simple bike or walk around a lake admiring and learning the natural habitats of many animals which they also call the area "home". from a picnic at a public county Park with access to many nature trails and spring feed crystal clear lakes. to a boat ride or aquatic activities. local well manicured parks filled with genuine family fun, like a game of horseshoes, baseball, soccer, chess, hopscotch, schuffle board, to a simple swing or jungle gym. well maintained park benches located tranquil scenery or just along your chosen path. rolling hills which make any outdoor adventure enjoyable. yet all the daily ammenties you could ever need only located minutes from all local housing areas. major highways connect you to any north, south, east, or west location if you should choose to visit or travel to for work. you are always within reach of true heaven here on Earth and a safe relaxing environment that your family can appreciate to call home. a very rare pristine town with old world Florida architect that printed postcards can"

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for twenty-seven years. It’s close to schools, shopping & across the street from Bok Tower gardens."
  • Lisa.arroy0212
"They have a farmers market in town every Saturday from 9-1. Through out the year local churches do public events for the kids. They also have parades and many other fun things for the family. "
  • D_cousineau
"We have lived here for almost a year and love our little neighborhood. Great neighbors and a quiet street."
  • Jennifer M.
"Lots of families and fun country style activities. So many lakes with fishing great little restaurants that are family oriented."
  • Edgar A.
"Nice and quite neighborhood. Not too populated, stores and shoppings are a little apart from mayor areas. But this is a very nice and quite town."
  • Desiray.v
"Quiet, except when there’s baseball or football games. Get really loud any annoying. Bright side there are playgrounds near for kids and a nice lake "
  • Héctor D. B. M.
"Really cheap and tranquil. Not much to do but close to Tampa, Orlando and Vero Beach. Good for people who likes to commute "
  • Desiray.v
"Horrible considering my job is in Lakeland since there are no good jobs in lake Wales. Other than that stores are close but there is not a very big of variety of stores to choose from. Also not enough major restaurants. "
  • Desiray.v
"There are sometimes loose dogs running around , big dogs at that. Also a lot of stray cats everywhere. "
  • Martha F. M.
"Indian lake estates, is NOT lake wales, it's Bout 18 miles east on hwy 60. the subdivision is private property which is a plus, however with only one entrance it creates almost 9 miles of excess driving for anyone coming from lake wales. (drive 3 1/2 miles further than necessary the a right turn followed by a right turn basically back tracking where you just came from"
  • Pmedina682
"I lived in this neighborhood for five years now and I think it’s OK and it’s close to my job and all the shopping stores are nearby schools are nearby Walmart so nearby and you have the mall"
  • Martha F. M.
"I see golf carts 4wheelers bikers and boats headed to launch. Very laid back, the entire subdivision private property so it’s fenced and gated."
  • Mike M
"Lake is a block away. Wonderful playgrounds. Great running trail with workout stops. Elementary school is 4 houses down the street. Plenty of kids 4-12yrs old for your kids to be friends with."
  • Victoria S.
"There is a really nice play park at Bok tower gardens for children with many activities there to keep them occupied for a couple hours. Also has a splash pad and hammocks in the shade for the parents to relax and still keep an eye on their kids. "
  • Yahaira
"Its good, kinda lonely area. The rent around there is reasonable. Lived there for a year. Hardly ever traffic, good commute."
  • Susana_martin11
"Dogs are often accepted in rentals for a fee. The fees I’ve seen are $25-$50 per month. Most communities have sidewalks to walk your dos and there are nice parks. "
