4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible. Just horrible. My son had the worst experience at this school. No one cares about the children in the school obviously when my son comes home scared from school everyday. Spoke about the situation of my kid multiple times to the school and no action taken whatsoever. Shameless. Keep your kids out of this schoolParent Review5mo ago - Leesylvania Elementary School

"None that I know off. You have to go to Old Town which is 1-1/2 to 2 miles away for community events (and for a weekly Saturday Farmer’s Market asked about in earlier question)."

"Although there are nice parks where I live, most of the family friendly neighborhoods reside in an enclosed neighborhood called Cameron Station. There is a beautiful library and it's close to Van Dorn Metro. There is a lot of traffic and some have pockets that are unsafe. The area is not pedestrian friendly. Lots of dog parks. Not stroller friendly. Eisenhower seems to have the least amount of crime but it is a busy street during the day. LA Mart is a great source for Asian groceries. The area has almost everything you need in a short distance. Schools aren't rated the best."

"Sense of community and a quiet neighborhood just steps away from all the great things Alexandria has to offer. It is eclectic, diverse and full of people who want to see the neighborhood thrive. "

"Lots of open grass areas within walking distance and all well lit and frequented by many locals makes it a safe and convenient neighborhood for dog owners. Most properties including townhomes in this area also include fenced-in backyards which provide relief during the day or while away; most townhome communities also have common grassy areas for homeowners to use."
