10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a student at Bloomfield Hills Middle School. This school was pretty good before the covid-19 pandemic. After that, it has been disappointing. Classes have been starting late, and ending over 20 minutes earlier than scheduled. Secondly, some, not all, teachers have been taking advantage of this online learning and have been canceling their classes, and doing asynchronous work, or like I said, ending class early, which has been happening with my core classes. I am a bit disappointed on how the teachers can't fully use their class time to teach, and how some teachers have been really lazy with this. Secondly, the administration. It is decent, and they are VERY nice to everyone, a very good upside. Although the administration is very friendly, sometimes they don't take action on events happening at the school, or don't event get back to you if you reach out. Lastly, in person learning during covid. We did this for a short period of time. I was very disappointed to see that some teachers were taking their masks down, almost for whole class periods. One time, a teacher had his/her mask down, and they put it back up when the principal walked by, then took it down again! The schools handling of covid was terrible, lets just say. Now dont get me wrong, the school isn't terrible. All of the staff is extremely friendly, and when the teachers are fully engaged, they teach really well. I would recommend this school to someone looking, but I could see people switching to private because of their handling on covid. Like I said, the school is not terrible, they just need to work on admin taking action on things, and their handling of covid.Parent Review3y ago - Bloomfield Hills High School

"We do not have children. Many people do not have children in the house, but there are often grandchildren and families visiting. There are children in the neighborhood who seem to socialize and get along. "

"easy access to mile roads and telegraph and 696 and square lake road. occasional power outages however mean traffic lights out so harder during busy hours"

"We’ve lived here for 10+ years, son graduated, schools are excellent. Neighbors are friendly, helpful, but also private. The yards are all 1/2 acre+ but open, the kids cut through w/o an issue to take a short cut. Our particular streets (2) only have 10 houses so we drive every where, like being in the country kinda right in the city. Police response is within 11/2-2 minutes very professional and efficient no crime. I walk my dogs (poodles) at all times of the night. The convenience to highways is great. Just a nice, quiet, convenient place to safely raise your family and live yourself. "

"Traffic has gotten very difficult. Two lane access does not work anymore, but there is nowhere to go to upgrade. POTHOLES will break suspension, Long Lake East of Woodward anyway..and most shortcuts To get to Telegraph takes easily 25 minutes, Square Lake between Woodward and Telegraph is ridiculous any weekday after 2pm"
