10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is newer, but was built knowing it was too small for number of students in the area. They put trailers outside the first year which is an absolute joke. There is no a/c or heat, besides the admin staff gets both. They do nothing for gifted kids, but tell them to watch videos on chrome books of people reading them books. The kids even in kindgarden are mostly taught by a laptop for almost the full school day.The student to teacher ration is 32/1, not as described above.Bulling is rampant at this school, and they refuse to expel or suspend kids even when there is sexual assault and police involved.Their moto is no kid left behind, which is great if they actually had programs for those kids, which they don’t. There was 5 kids in our kid’s class that never did one assignment, and they will still move on to the next grade. The worst is that when you try to get solutions or bring up issues of major concerns, the principal will say, “Well that’s what the district says, so my hands are tied.”So we tried talking to anyone in the district above the principal, and you get number that rings endlessly and then hangs up.Not sure how this school scored a 9/10 as parents that have kids that go there wouldn’t give it higher than a 3 out of 10.PARENTS BEAWARE and ask about the questions I brought up if you ever tour this school.Parent Review10mo ago6 Reviews - Happy Valley Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur boys attended this school and couldn’t be happier with the engaging and healthy environment at all Happy Valley schools. The music and orchestra program were excellent opportunities to learn Cello and the track/cross county program are a few of the many extracurricular activities our boys benefited from prior to entering high school. Safe rural environment in Happy Valley.Parent Review2mo ago10 Reviews - Adrienne C. Nelson High School

Engaging environment for students with academic support if needed, plus variety of funded extracurricular activities. Quiet suburban setting without the illicit drug use down the street and as many Portland schools have encountered for over a decade. "There are coyotes out at night so one must be observant when walking after dark in certain areas of Happy Valley. That’s what happens when greed takes over, wild animals get displaced."

"There’s quite a few places to shop all around for both kids and adults up and down 82nd. There is a really cool rec center for kids more like a swim center down by the old Toys “R” Us and Clackamas town Center. There’s also some pretty good schools around here and some pretty nice parks if you look around."

"I work with a Management team that supervises two business so my commute is to Milwaukee, Oregon 6 days a week and once weekly to three miles East of Sandy, Oregon. The trip to Sandy is an hour out and an hour back. The trip to Milwaukie is 1/2 hour each way. There is probably bus service between Clackamas to Milwaukee but it would take transfers. I am often caring bookwork and a laptop. There is bus service to Sandy Oregon, but would require several transfers from my location and service does not go beyond Sandy Oregon."
