I would not recommend Southwood high school because this school does not let their students go to the bathroom barely have 5 minute to get to where the students need to be . Students cannot switch their electives at all and can't go to the bathroom at l still these teachers are rude and wont let us go to the bathroom just because they do not like their own students .

I have witnessed teachers yelling at kindergarteners like they’re grown to stand in a line and be quiet. There is no respect or patience between most teachers and students, only power dynamics it seems. I witnessed the receptionist tell a 6-7 year old boy who was on a late bus that he needed to ‘come to school on time’ to eat the breakfast he asked for. As if it was the little boys fault that his bus was late. The counselor would make for a better principal than whoever runs it right now. Thankful Caddo Parish is allowing my autistic boy to transfer schools so he won’t have to come back to this nightmare next year. This school compares to a Red River Parish school.

Poor school system. Far below grade level and child has fallen behind.
