7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethis school is horrible. there is no advanced placement, and the special education programs suck. I have a friend that is in the "academy business" class, and he got 20 dollars just for going to class a couple days in a row. meanwhile, me with a perfect attendance record doesn't get any money of free things whatsoever. this school is also incredibly racist towards white people, which seems stupid, but they actually have clubs that they only let people, of color into which is racist. I (a person of color) was in the club for a year and left because I thought it was racist. every time I have asked about this segregation, i have been faced with the same argument, "this club is to give people who have been treated wrong because of the color of their skin a safe place." hilariously, this is Corvallis Oregon, and racism is not really a thing here. I have experienced racism one place, and that was Dallas Oregon. they also treat LGBT+ members like they are better than anyone else. I don't care what you identify as and who you like, as long as you tell me what to call you, so the fact that they are treating people that are not in the pride club or the SAFE (people, of color club) club or the academy business class to field trips and free stuff doesn't sit right with me. the food is unhealthy, and I have proof they haven't cleaned some parts of the school in 55 years, so dont go to this school trust me for you own sake.Student Review1mo ago5 Reviews - Mt View Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have one boy in Mt View right now, and his older brother also attended this school. Both of my kids are autistic, although on the outside they seem to be “normal.” This disparity has caused some issues for my boys through their lives, with adults who don’t know them becoming frustrated by certain behaviors that they don’t expect from kids this age - because again, they don’t “look” or “act” autistic. Mt View has been nothing short of wonderful with my kids. My youngest has severe ADHD as well, and they were proactive about putting together a plan to best support him in class so he can focus and learn and feel good about the work he’s done at the end of the day. There have been some bullying issues over the years, but I feel the school was responsive and, importantly, already aware and taking steps to rectify the situation. They are huge on family involvement. Myself, my mother, and my grandmother have all volunteered at school, during school hours. It’s pretty cool to get to sit in your son’s class for an hour and work on math with him and his friends.I feel they also do a decent job at providing a well rounded education. They have chickens and a garden, PE, art, and music. My oldest son is into some pretty creepy stuff - he’s a horror buff and a budding artist. I appreciated that when he had art assignments and would draw or sculpt something that was honestly kind of terrifying (but not inappropriate or violent. He makes characters for horror games.) the school never made him feel any type of way for his unique interest and was always just really supportive of everything he wanted to do and make. The kid is a great artist and an even greater sculptor and I really think Mt View deserves some credit for always encouraging kids to work hard and do what makes them happy.Parent Review3y ago5 Reviews - Crescent Valley High School

"Side streets are good for walking dogs, however, the main roads can be quite busy with fast traffic. There are no public spaces nearby to exercise dogs but backyards are generally spacious. "

"There are a large number of dog friendly parks, hiking trails, and river access points in the area. They’re almost all within a 10-15 minute drive of central Corvallis, and the other dog owners in the area are generally very friendly and helpful. "

"Always plan to drive for a half an hour in order to get around the campus or through it. There's a lot of bad drivers around during the school year but the traffic reduces once school gets out for summer. "
