Writer/Producer Simon Fuller Lists Beverly Hills Home for $19 Million

Hollywood superproducer Simon Fuller, known for song-and-dance shows like "So You Think You Can Dance?" and "American Idol,” has put his Beverly Hills palace on the market.

Fuller has listed his five-bed, eight-bath mansion for $18.95 million — about $10 million more than he paid for it in 2005. Located in one of Beverly Hills’ most sought-after neighborhoods, the home, which commands a lot of almost 39,000 square feet, combines Old World glamour with modern sophistication.

A floating, sculptural staircase cascades from the second floor, while lavish amenities like a screening room, spacious wine cellar, and gym complement the luxe nature of it all. Large terraces overlook the beautifully designed grounds, which include a swimming pool and detached guesthouse. Perhaps that’s where Simon Fuller and Simon Cowell used to powwow for American Idol strategy sessions.

No details yet on where Fuller is headed, but it looks like he may be spending a bit of time back in his native England: He just sold two apartments in New York’s Plaza Hotel last year (to the tune of $38 million, the New York Post reported), and he signed on to a joint venture with David Beckham to create an entire line of David Beckham–branded consumer products, Bloomberg reported last year. Those Brits love to stick together.

Either way, Fuller won’t be singing for pennies on the street corner. According to his IMDB page, the British Sunday Times estimates Fuller’s net worth is $491 million.
