In this morning’s whopping celebrity real estate rumors, the Real Estalker is reporting that Hollywood ‘power couple’ Will and Jada Smith are quietly shopping around their massive hilltop compound for $42 million. The duo have been battling rumors of an impending split for years, and something like selling the family home will likely give even more fuel to the fire that the duo are heading towards splitsville.
The home graced the cover and many pages inside the September 2011 issue of Architectural Digest, where they gushed over their custom-designed 25,000 square foot adobe house on 150 acres, with private lake and recording studio.
They spent four years building the custom, globally-inspired pad, and it seems silly that they’d part with it so soon after all that work and unknown millions sunk into construction costs. But money talks and sometimes rumors are just rumors, so until we see the official Trulia listing on this home, we’ll just have to wait and see if they’re any truth to the real estate rumblings.
