UPDATE: Uma Thurman Sells Her Manhattan Duplex For $6.6 Million

The actress's ritzy Gramercy Park co-op comes with a special surprise.

UPDATE: Uma Thurman made a pretty penny on her Gramercy Park apartment. The actress sold the property for $6.6 million, over $300K more than her asking price!

Ah, the privileges of a movie star. Uma Thurman, known for her roles in Quentin Tarantino hits like Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill, is listing her 2,800-square-foot duplex in New York, NY, for sale. But what’s so unique about this ritzy residence? Aside from the lofty price tag of $6.25 million (up from the more than $4.2 million total she spent on the space), it comes with a key to the highly coveted (and exclusive) Gramercy Park. Yes, as in an entire leafy-green park in Manhattan where only neighborhood residents are allowed.

The five-bed, three-and-a-half-bath property, which Uma revealed in an exclusive with The New York Times, is located in a limestone-and-brick prewar co-op with a modern, open layout in a contemporary style. The light-filled abode features open dining, kitchen, and living spaces. There’s also a library, three walk-in closets, a Turkish hammam steam shower, and a Juliet balcony with views overlooking Gramercy Park.

A chef’s kitchen comes with custom Italian Molteni cabinets built from the floor to ceiling, a black walnut island, and Namibian marble counters. Herringbone dark wood floors contrast with the light from two oversized windows, which frame the French doors that sweep guests onto the balcony. On the second floor, the master bedroom features horsehair-upholstered walls and sliding mirror doors leading into the bathroom, which has a Carrara marble double vanity and heated Calacatta marble floors. This is also the entry point to the hammam, the rain shower, cast-iron tub, and marble bench.

We’d say Uma is movin’ on up, but of course she owns a few other properties, including one in upstate New York — and you’d be hard-pressed to find another Manhattan duplex this lovely. She might already have one, though: Back in 2013, Uma bought another property in the city from romance novelist Barbara Taylor Bradford. She got a “deal” on that property: Although it initially hit the market for $18.995 million, Uma was able to snag it for just $10 million. Even movie stars love a bargain!
