Stephen Dorff Is Selling An Architectural Gem In Malibu

After 16 years, the actor is moving on from this stunning beachfront home.

Whether he’s a vampire in the Blade series or an actor having an existential crisis in Sofia Coppola’s Somewhere, Stephen Dorff knows how to look good. And based on this stunning property, so does his real estate. But this is no ordinary celebrity beach house: The three-bed, three-bath home, located on 40 feet of Malibu, CA’s La Costa Beach, is an architectural gem called The Brown House. (La Costa Beach, by the way, has counted everyone from CBS head honcho Les Moonves to Paris Hilton as residents.) Stephen is selling the property for $8.45 million, and seeing as he bought it back in 2001 for $2.546 million, it seems pretty safe to say he’ll make a nice slice of cash on the property.

Built in 1968 by famed architects Buff & Hensman, the 2,298-square-foot home maintains its original design, with cedar shingles and dark wood that blend with nature. A double-height foyer accented by full-height glass and a dramatic spiral staircase welcomes guests. It’s the perfect place to take in a stunning Malibu sunset.

Stephen isn’t the only big name to have lived in a Buff & Hensman property: During their marriage, Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson owned the Wong House in Los Feliz, CA. Only a handful of people in the world know what it’s like to live in an architectural masterpiece like this one, but if we run into Stephen, we’ll be sure to ask him about it.
