Shaun White Puts His Malibu Compound Up For Rent

From the snow to the sea, he’s shredding up the real estate market.

You won’t shred any powder at snowboarder Shaun White’s Malibu, CA, home, but you can certainly surf some tasty waves. The two-time Olympic gold medalist has officially put his three-bed, two-bath beach house up for rent for the low, low price of $17,500 per month. Shaun bought the property back in 2013 for $8.94 million, but with his busy schedule, it seems he’s pretty satisfied being a landlord. (And who wouldn’t be, at that rental price?)

Measuring 2,175 square feet, the ranch-style home is a beautiful and private 1-acre compound on wave-heavy Westward Beach. With 180-degree ocean views and private steps down to the beach, the property is the ideal summer rental for an avid surfer, or just someone who likes to sunbathe under the Malibu sky. Built in 1952, the home features hardwood floors and high ceilings that provide an open, airy aesthetic. The home also has a wet bar, multiple fireplaces, and wraparound deck that’s a great spot for sipping your coffee after a morning surf.

Shaun spends plenty of time shredding the slopes at his home in Park City, UT, but he certainly knows a thing or two about SoCal real estate. In addition to the Malibu beach house, he has owned a home in Carlsbad, CA, since 2003. In 2012, he dropped $3.85 million on an Encinitas, CA, home, which he also rents out. In 2015, Shaun put his Hollywood Hills, CA, property on the market for $2.195 million. Maybe he realized those hills didn’t have any snow on them?
